Dit is Marlies Houtman
Radiomaken wilde ik eigenlijk al in 1977 toen ik van de Lagere School afkwam.
Het zogenaamde radiovirus bleef sluimeren. In 1982 heb ik kontakt opgenomen met de RANO Ziekenomroep. Die hadden alleen plek voor programmatechniek. Toen ben ik naar een andere ziekenomroep gegaan, maar ook die hadden alleen maar plek voor de programmatechniek. Ik heb het toen laten rusten. In 2002 toch weer de stap gemaakt naar de RANO Ziekenomroep, en daar heb ik twee jaar lang de programmatechniek gedaan.
Nu maak ik een grote stap. In 2021 heb ik mijn eigen internet radiostation op gebouwd. Vanaf dat moment ben ik begonnen met mijn eigen radioprogramma The Beat Goes On afgeleid van het nummer van Sonny en Cher.
